Week 1 Ratings Update in Madden 24

After the conclusion of Week 1 in the NFL, EA Sports has made adjustments to the ratings of several players in Madden 24. These changes are made to accurately reflect the players’ performances in the game. The first ratings update for Madden 24 was released three days after the end of the 2023 NFL season’s opening week.

One of the standout performances in Week 1 came from Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. He threw for an impressive 466 yards and three touchdowns in Miami’s victory over the Chargers. As a result of his outstanding performance, Tagovailoa’s rating in Madden 24 has been increased to 85 OVR, up by two from his previous overall rating.

Tagovailoa was not the only young star to receive a ratings boost in Madden 24. Jets running back Breece Hall, Lions defensive end Aidan Hutchinson, and Ravens rookie wide receiver Zay Flowers also saw their ratings increase in the game.

Other notable players who received upgrades in their ratings include Christian McCaffrey, Patrick Surtain II, TJ Watt, Jessie Bates II, Aaron Jones, Justin Herbert, and Trevon Diggs.

However, there were also some players who saw their ratings decrease after Week 1. Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, who endured a tough loss against the Browns, saw his rating drop by one point. Madden 24 cover athlete Josh Allen also received a downgrade after a subpar performance against the Jets.

In addition to Burrow and Allen, players such as Derwin James Jr., Dexter Lawrence, Lamar Jackson, Dalvin Cook, and Ezekiel Elliott also experienced downgrades in their ratings after Week 1.
