The Teal Mask DLC for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet has brought back two fan-favorite Generation 2 Pokemon – Hoothoot and Noctowl. These Owl Pokemon can be found throughout the new area called Kitakami, but locating them may prove to be a bit challenging.
To catch Hoothoot in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, you’ll need to search for it in rocky and grassy areas in Kitakami. However, Hoothoot appears in trees, so you’ll have to use the ZL and ZR buttons to target it and throw a Poke Ball. Keep in mind that Hoothoot only appears at night, so you may have to wait for about half an hour, considering the day-night cycle in Scarlet and Violet lasts approximately 72 minutes.
Noctowl can also be found in the same locations as Hoothoot, but it is less common. So keep searching until you come across a Noctowl.
To evolve Hoothoot into Noctowl, you simply need to level up Hoothoot to level 20 through battles or by using Exp. Candy. Once it reaches this level, it will automatically evolve into Noctowl.
So, if you’re eager to add these Owl Pokemon to your team, head to Kitakami in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, search for Hoothoot and Noctowl, and catch them using the ZL and ZR buttons. Don’t forget that Hoothoot only appears at night, so be patient if you’re playing during the day.
